Steven Ma Sucks on Sonija Kwok's Mouth

Looks like Steven Ma has a new nickname.

Steven Ma and Sonija Kwok's new series "7 Days in Life" was premiered yesterday and the two already have kissing scenes in first episode [little spoiler from Kay: in their hotel room]. But they are not embarrassed to film these scenes and Steven even discusses with Sonija before hand on how to perform the scene.

Now looking at their kissing scene photos, Sonija points out Steven looks like a cuttlefish that keeps sucking her mouth.

"The shape of his mouth when kissing looks like cuttlefish's suckers," she says. "He is Mr. Sucker."

Their friendship was broken once because of misunderstanding, now Steven and Sonija had reunited when filming "7 Days in Life." Sonija hopes to be friends with Steven forever, even better if they can group as a pair of on-screen couple.

Johnson Lee Proposes to Yoyo Mung For Ekin Cheng

Steven Ma, Fala Chen, Yoyo Mung, Johnson Lee attended to a promotion event for "Links to Temptation" yesterday and played proposal games. Johnson said he is proposing to Yoyo for Ekin, and Yoyo hit him immediately. She said: "How good are his words? Originally he should say he swears he loves me, maybe because he hosted 'Fun With Liza and Gods,' he thinks quickly, now it became a proposal, but I'm not mad." Asked whether Ekin has proposed, she said: "Don't talk about this all the time. It sounds like I don't need to work. I hope audience can pay attention to the series."

Steven Ma expressed he does not need to practice to propose because he tried a lot during filming. In reality, he plans to propose within these one or two years.

It is Fala's first time being the female lead, but ratings are average. She said: "It's actually the best out of the three series now. Ratings broke 30 in several episodes. Maybe it's because it's New Year's Eve weekend, everyone is out celebrating after work!" She said she is not discouraged because she attended to many functions thanks to the series!

Steven Ma: A Miracle If I Win TV King

Steven Ma, Evergreen Mak, Natalie Tong, Christine Kuo, etc attended to the blessing ceremony for upcoming series <紫禁驚雷>. Steven expressed two of his new series is airing but it is not good for Anniversary Awards that is held at the end of the year: "'A Watchdog's Tale' is one of the highest rating series. 'Ghost Writer' is used to fight against World Cup. I'm in the showbiz for many years. Many series are used to fight against other events. If I do win at this year's Anniversary Awards, it would be a miracle." He said his only wish this year is Evergreen to win Best Supporting Actor: "This crappy Fei Fan Gor is so popular, it's good even if he has to eat poop!"

As for Best Actor, Steven expressed he did not vote but if he has to, he would vote for Kent Cheng because he taught him many things. He also does not believe Sheren Tang would exchange TV Queen with TVB long term contract.

As for Evergreen, who is one of the favorites to win Best Supporting Actor, he said he met A-list actor Chow Yun-fat earlier and Chow looks highly on him: "In fact not only God is looking at us, Fat Gor is also looking. He is my idol. I feel very honored and excited already when he praised my performance!"

First time playing villain, Natalie expressed it is quite a challenge for her. She will pair with Kenneth Ma again after "Truth." Christine, who is not good at speaking Cantonese, said she found two teachers to help her out.

TVB 43rd Anniversary Press Conference

TVB held an anniversary press conference yesterday and more than 30 artistes attended, including Wayne Lai, Felix Wong, the "Gods," Liza Wang, Carol Cheng, etc. A list of its this year's Anniversary Awards nominees was announced. Almost all the leads from every aired series this year are nominated, including TV King & Queen favorites of this year Wayne and Sheren (No Regrets) and Moses and Charmaine (Can't Buy Me Love).

The competition for TV King is said between Wayne, Moses, Steven Ma, and Raymond Lam; Felix Wong and Kent Cheng are considered "black horses." But Wayne, who was the TV King last year, expressed Moses is strong and he himself might not win this year, so he will not prepare a thank-you speech. After winning the lottery on his birthday, Steven's luck continues as he received 3 nominations in this year's anniversary awards (Best Actor, My Favorite Male TV Character, and Best Host). He and Moses shook hands at the press conference to share the luck. The good brothers, who known each other after filming "Where the Legend Begins" in 2002, even hope to collaborate in the future.

After winning "Most Improved Actor" last year, "Pork Rib Boy" Pierre Ngo is nominated "Best Supporting Actor" this year with "No Regrets." He expressed he looks highly on Evergreen Mak and Dominic Lam. As for whether his attack accident might affect the votes, he said: "They're not related. It depends on the voting of audience and company."
