Mag Lam Signs Record Deal with EEG

Looks like Mag Lam is ready to release an album soon.

"The Voice 2" winner appeared at Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG)'s spring dinner last night as a special guest, and CEO of EEG announced she officially joined the company. Mag is another TVB artist who signed recording contract with EEG; others include Raymond Lam and Wong Cho Lam.

In fact, it was already rumored EEG fought to get the 20-year-old with millions. Now officially EEG's singer, Mag disclosed she didn't know much about the details.

"TVB picked it for me, and I believe in them," she said. "It's more important to have a good communication with the record company."

As for the release date of her debut album, Mag said she will think about that after she graduated this summer.

TVB Avoids Photographs With ATV Artists

C'mon TVB.

Stars from companies included TVB, ATV, RTHK, Metro, etc attended to Community Chest's Charity Walk yesterday. TVB had the most artists attending, including TV King and Queen Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang, who were the most popular at the walk. ATV and TVB's newcomers Adason Lo and Mag Lam, both the winners of recent singing competitions, finally had a chance to meet up, but it was not a successful one.

At a tea break after the event, reporters requested the two to stand together for photographs. Adason was standing there and waiting, and Mag stood up from her seat and was going to walk to him. Then TVB staffs immediately stopped her from going, making the two quite embarrassed.

Adason expressed he saw Mag on television often and it was his first time seeing her in real life. He praised The Voice winner sings with power. He hopes for collaboration in the future: "I heard an event wanted to invite us both to sing together, but it was a pity that it didn't happen."

Mag Lam to Sing First in TVB Anniversary Lightning Ceremony

After she won singing competition show "The Voice 2," Mag Lam became popular rising star immediately. In next Monday's TVB Anniversary lightning ceremony, she will lead contestants from "The Voice 2" and sing classic TV series theme songs. The 20 year old just debuted to the industry for a short period and already has a chance to perform in a big show.

TVB's chairman Run Run Shaw is turning 103 next month, but he will still appear at the anniversary lightning ceremony. The organization plans to arrange nearly hundred of artistes to appear at the ceremony. Actors from anniversary series "No Regrets" and "Gun Metal Grey" will attend as well. Last year's TV King Wayne Lai will even sing theme song of "No Regrets," which seen as a way to welcome the premier of the new series airing right after the ceremony.
