RUSTY JABBZ NEWSLETTER ISSUE # 8

MISTAKES:

Dj Handspin Dinero kicking it with you today. As you see at the top of my page you see the word mistakes, written out. The purpose of that is because I want to talk to you all about mistakes. You know everyone in
life make mistakes. Gov. Spitzer got caught w/ his pants down (literally) back in March (08) thats a mistake. Just recently, last monday a MTA bus driver was stabbed to death by a dumb NIGGER (I use the term harshly) but the next day he wuz caught, see thats a mistake but good , I hope NYC still got the death penalty so they can fry his ass or inject his ass whatever. I know thats, cruel but FUCK THAT!!! Dis bitch nigger took the life of a innocent man over a transfer, a transfer he wasn't even entitled too because the driver let him on the bus for free but this NIGGER wasn't trying to hear that. So you know what, fuck him and fuck his family, no pain and sorrow for NIGGERS! I hope you rott jail bastard.

Now I know, I'm flowing off track the point of all of this was to let people know, we all make mistakes. Take me for example, I mad
e a mistake last week on thursday, Dec. 4th when I posted my recent blog without carefully viewing it first. I just wanna apologize for the distorted texts towards the end of that Rusty Jabbz edition. I try not to make mistakes. I'm usually professional, well as professional as Dj Handspin can be. So with that being said, you have my apologies and I will see to it that it'll never happen again. I just wanted people to know that we all make mistakes even my bitch of a ex-girlfriend, who I broke up with me 2 weeks ago. Dat bitch made the BIGGEST mistake. Leaving a brutha w/ swagg like mine. Dat bitch aint gonna find no one realer and tolerant of her screwed and chopped up ass.

Before, I get into this issue, let me just end this by saying, "to the DUMB NIGGER that killed the bus driver last monday. I know you didn't think you was gonna get away with it if so then you really are a "DUMB NIGGER". My dude next time, you wanna get away with murder, "KILL A RAPPER!!!" Now those are what you would call, "COLD CASES!!!" "FEEL ME!

With all that being said, let's move on today, we are gonna do the following and talk about the
these current independent releases. First up we have The Cool Kids.

SINGLE REVIEWS:
THE COOL KIDS - "DELIVERY MAN" - GREEN LABEL SOUND

How many people out there ever wanted to be that cool kid in skool. You know the one that one person who had all the jocks, cheerleaders and regular teeny bopping high skool gurls as friends. Don't front we all were envious of the cool kids, well heres ur chance at youth again. Lets relive the high skool days as we envy Chi-town's Cool Kids soon to become Chi-town's Cool Emcees. The Cool Kids consist of duo, Chuck Inglish & Mikey Rocks who spit 1 verse apiece over a 2:45 track. A track that starts off w/ a horn percussion and then the thumping boom bap bassline kicks in providing a sort of a music trailor as an introduction to the industry. Although this is a single and a short one at that, The Cool Kids are indeed, delivery men. Delivery a prequel to whats to come. For free downloads & more info you can check out, greenlabelsound.com and to those of you who never had Cool Kids as friends in high school maybe these Cool Kids can be ur friend, hit myspace.com/thecoolkids.

SANTOGOLD WHITE, PHARRELL WILLIAMS & JULIAN CASABLANCAS
"My Drive Thru" sponsored by Converse/Cornerstone Promotions

Dj Handspin decided to switch up and talk about a song other than hip hop although I don't know what you would classify this particular song, the song has a disco/rock n roll appeal w/ a touch of a carribbean twang vocal comin' from Mrs Santogold. The name of the song is called, "My Drive Thru" but thru out the song you'll be hearing chanting, saying, "Me I wanna dance!". After hearing this record u will indeed wanna dance. What ur dancin' too is beyond me but I guarantee you'll enjoy it. We often dance to songs that we don't know anything about. All u need 2 know, IT'S GOTS TO BE FUNKY!

Smirnoff Signature Mix Series (PROMOTION)

The next time you think of Smirnoff don't think of the livation. Think of the Smirnoff Mix Series. A mixtape album which is I believe is out or scheduled to come out. Luckily, I was fortunate to get a maxi single comtaining the remakes of these classic hip hop memorabilia. The first song on this maxi single is the classic, Krs-1 12" "Criminal Minded" (the '08 version) Produced today by The World Famous and Undisputed, Dj Premier. Krs starting off the song spittin' acapella similar to the intro on, "My Philosophy" then the song starts off w/ a boom bap signature Premier beat. But no beat is complete w/o the traditional Premo cuts n scratches. Premier cuttin' up vintage Krs One vocals as adlibs for the hook. The original, Criminal Minded is still a classic and its still fire but this 2008 remake pumps up the original version legendary status. There was a quote Krs said in the original, "Criminal Minded" it went sumthin like this, "Boogie Down Productions will always get paid we take the wackest song and make it better." Well, in this case Premier took the hottest song and made it hotter. "FLAME ON!"

Track 2 is the remake of Common's, "The Light" originally produced by Jay Dilla (RIP). Some may see this as an insult to have Just Blaze come in and remake this alreaady classic jam. Peace goes out to Just Blaze for doin' a valid remake or remix which ever you prefer. I look at it more as a remake due to some of the lyrics have been changed. Common wrote some new lyrics and the beat is still along the lines of mellow following the original version. The only difference, Just Blaze may have up the tempo a few notches. Regardless of the few minor changes in the song it does keep the original concept, LOVE!

Track 3, ends this maxi single w/ the classic, A Tribe Called Quest, "Midnight" off the Midnight Merauders album. When I heard this remake done by Cool n Dre all I could say was, WOW! Cool n Dre did their thing, I never knew they had it in them to produce a beat like this. Although, not as great as Tribes original version but none the less its still a job well done. The song starts off w/ a Q-Tip sample vocal of the hook from the original, Midnight before this remake version begins. This version is a lil' more hard hittin' bass with an eerie back drop. This song sounds more East Coast than M. I. YAYO! But I still love it and I know you all will too.
